Oct 09, 2015 Do you recommend the Bonaire Shore diving made easy guide? Having said all that - the diving in Bonaire is mostly very easy. Shore diving is the norm, though most resorts offer boat dives and some sites are easier to dive from a boat than from the shore. But there is no shortage of great dives that are easy to access for divers. Voted ‘best shore diving for 23 consecutive years.’ Once you experience a taste of diving freedom, you won’t want to go anywhere else. Imagine being able to dive whenever you want to, on nobody’s schedule but your own. Instead of having to follow a dive leader, you can swim at your leisure and marvel in.
As a PADI 5 Star PADI IDC Dive Center, we cater to divers of every skill level, from Bubblemakers to Instructors and everything in between. With our eight locations and four retail stores, you’re just a door-step away to your ultimate Bonaire diving adventure!

Dive Friends Bonaire really lives by their motto 'without blue there is no green'. They generously donated tanks to support our research teams investigation on the importance of parrotfish on coral reefs. The general manager Bart also worked with me to launch a citizen science project so that guests can help monitor Bonaire's parrotfish populations- the crew have been incredibly supportive in this as well. I was frankly floored by how supportive the shop is to supporting our research and protecting Bonaire's reefs in general.
Thank you all for your dedication to reef conservation!! A particular thanks out to Caitlyn and Roos for helping organize a public talk, Steve for logistical support, and to Jason for helping out with monitoring! More

We've been to Sand Dollar 8+ time and have dove with Andre's Bonaire Dive & Adventure and loved it. Since they closed, Dive Friends have taken over the dive operation at Bari Reef. They are fine, but not outstanding. Lot more regimented and concerned about liability, seems like. It's a large operation with multiple shops, so staff seems less personable. BDA would send a boat if you showed up at the dock on time, even if you were the only diver, Friends will only go with minimum of 4 divers. During our more recent stay with Friends, we noticed that the equipment on the dock is not as well maintained. We had one day where nearly all the tanks had bad o-rings. We've also had issues with the Nitrox checkout station. We miss Andre's personal connection. More

Did my nitrox certification check with Kimberly and then a guided dive at Bari reef. It was an extremely smooth process and Kimberly was a great diving guide. She also gave us ton of tips for our next dives. Would definitely go again.

This is our dive operation of choice. We visit Bonaire several times a year, and Dive Friends makes getting tanks painless. With there multiple locations, your never far from full tanks.

after 5 years away from diving I took a refresher course with Bart B. at Dive Friends. I've taken 4 padi courses previously, and he's the best instructor I've had. In particular, I've had troubles over the years controlling my ascent. Bart explained it in a new way that I was immediately able to grasp and he took the time both on land and in the ocean to make sure I had it right. Now I can dive without that anxiety - thank you Bart!
The dive shop was marvellous - got me properly fitted, good equipment and super convenient to get new tanks, as they have several sites.
